How to go to Hozugawa river cruise to Arashiyama Kyoto ! Autumn!

If you want to visit Arashiyama, Kyoto, you definately must try Hozugawa river cruise especially during Autumn (Around November). Begin your journey from Kyoto Station by using the JR train to Kameoka station.

Unlike the sagano romantic train, hozugawa river cruise tickets cannot reserve online or at others station except you are in a group that more than 10 people. If less than 10 people you must purchase directly at the hozugawa river cruise location.

However, I think actually this is a good opportunity because during the Autumn period, the sagona romantic train normally sold out quickly and very minor chance to reserve. So if you still want to visit the whole Arashiyama, this is definitely suit you.

Kyoto Station - Kameoka Station
(16mins), 410jpy by using the JR San in Line

After that, walk to Hoguzawa river cruise (8minutes walking distance). No worry because there is a lot of signage and flags in the station and beside the road.

Just walk in the shop and buy the tickets.

One person 4100 jpy, there is a number behind the tickets. They will call the number once reach your queue.

Don't worry if it's raining, they will use boat with roof cover when it's raining.

You can enjoy tha maple trees and ginko trees at both side...beautiful..

If you're lucky you can see Sagano romantic train passed by at the right side!

Don't worry if you're hungry, there is a boat selling foods at middle of journey. Both boat will stick closely and you can buy food with the sellers.

After aproximately 1hour, finally we arrive the Togetsu-kyo bridge.

After you get up of the boats, you can visit Arashiyama togetsu-kyo bridge, the natural bamboo forest, tenryu-ji temple etc.
